A nice Windows-based free/open-source compression/decompression program that supports .ZIP files (and many other compressed file types too). This is a great program for packaging your game into a ZIP file before you distribute it.
The .7z files that 7zip can generate have even better compression than ZIP files, but they are not neccesarally a good choice for game distribution because only people with 7zip will be able to open them.
